This scroll shows a daimyô in armor from the late Sengoku era (1482-1568). The crest shows that he could be a member of the family Ota (Yamato) oder Arima (Echizen) as they wear melon blossoms in their mon. Impressive, powerful and well preserved kagemono. The honshi is darkened due to its age. Some rolling traces at the upper era of the tenchi. All in all a beautiful scroll.
