Musha-e ("Images of warriors") were very popular during the
Edo era. They show scenes from myths and legends as well as historical figures. The themes range from single portraits up to vivid battle scenes full of action.
These colourful sheets with beautiful details are a lovely collection for all those interested in the warrior tradition.

Condition: Sheet has been cut and has some wormholes which have been reinforced. Creased at the upper area.
Corners slightly rubbed. This sheet was probably part of a tryptich.
Colours: Brilliant and very good.
