The nightly scene shows a
samurai armed with two
katana. He holds one sword in his hands. It seems that this sheet is the right half of a dyptich.
The crest on his
kimono shows a scroll amulet (
tsutsu-mamori) and possibly indicates to a branch of the family
Ikeda or
Kaneko.
