The print shows a samurai who is trying to bring his opponent to the ground using a "shoulder throw". Wonderful and very decorative Bujutsu picture.

Artist: Utagawa Kunisada, also knows as Utagawa Toyokuni III.

Year of publication: aboout 1850
Condition: Good. The edges and the lower left corner slightly rubbed.
Colours: Strong and good.
Kunisada was, at his time, the most popular and most financially successful Ukiyo-e artist.
