Two wandering monks - one bearing a yamabushi. The Buddhist monk seen in the foreground bears a rokkaku-bô.
It is rumored that ninja warriors disguised as yamabushi or monks in order to travel around incognito and pursue their spy activities.

Format: approx. 22 x 35,5 cm.
Year of publication: around 1890
Condition: Sheet has been cut but restored in places. Reinforced all over at the back side.
Colours: Very good.
