Samurai pervades a fence
 
The scene shows a samurai who determinedly and forcibly pervades a fence. He has a katana in his obi and with a string he has bound the sleeves of his kimono backwards and is ready for battle.

Signature: "Toyokuni ga"
Format: approx. 23 x 35 cm. (Oban)
Year of publication: around 1860
Condition: Clean and cut sheet. Due to various restorations it has been reinforced all over and various damages were repaired. Especially defects at the corners could be retouched by slight colour application.
Colours: Brilliant and good.
