This print shows an archer from the Heian era who is watching two wrestlers.
Probably Nomi no Suke is the one pictured who still nowadays is admired as patron saint of the wrestlers (sumô). In the interpretation of various authors, he is considered to be the legendary founder of jûjutsu.
